Bolivian Arapaima Experience

Deep in the Amazon jungle of Boliva there is a new destination that has recently opened up where you can sight fish the King of the Amazon - The Legendary Arapaima! With stunning, clear flowing waters and lagoons this area is home to unprecedented numbers of Arapaima that until very recently were completely isolated and undiscovered. The fishing was found to be so productive that a brand new lodge and operation was set up and they have just completed their first season with fantastic results!
The Lodge specialises in clear water sight-fishing with lures and fly for these majestic fish and has a fleet of quality boats that are perfectly suited to this kind of fishing. They also offer live/deadbait fishing if the going is tough and the fish switch off the artificials. You can expect to encounter plenty of Peacock Bass too as the main river is loaded with them and also Payara, Surubim and Redtail Catfish, Freshwater Drum, Piranha & more while fishing.
This is not just a fishing trip, this is a journey into an untouched and uninhabited wilderness. The birds, willdlife and stunning jungle scenery alone will take your breath away. The lodge is comfortable, everything is taken care of and the friendly staff will ensure that you have a great stay and all your needs are met.
The Arapaima should be on every travelling anglers bucket-list and this clearwater, sight fishing environment makes it one of the most attractive destinations in which to persue these amazing creatures. You owe it to yourself to make the trip down to Bolivia and see what all the fuss is about. You won't regret it!

THE FISHING - Fly Fishing & Casting lures, jigs, swimbaits, glidebaits and rubber lures on baitcasting or spinning gear. Live/dead bait fishing either freelined or under a float. The choice is yours.
SPECIES - The main focus on these trips is undoubtedly the sight fishing for Arapaima. Other species of interest would be the Peacock Bass and Payara in the main river, also the Surubim and Redtail Catfish. There are also Drum, Piranha and whole heap of other smaller species should you wish to diversify a little.
BOATS & GUIDES - The lodge has a fleet of very nice flats boats with large front and rear casting platforms powered by outboard engines. This is a refreshing alternative to the standard dug out canoes and wooden boats that are prevalent in most other locations throughout the Amazon when Arapaima are the target. We are fishing in comfort and style here. The guides are all local and know the waters intimately, ensuring that they give you the best chance to make the most of the amazing sight-fishing opportunites that are available. We fish 2 anglers per boat.
SEASON - June through September - in their dry season. Weather is normally warm and dry.

THE LODGE
The lodge is beautifully designed and in keeping with its surroundings, built right beside the river. There are 4 main cabins that are double occupancy, hosting a maximum of 8 anglers at any one time.
All the rooms have their own ensuite bathrooms, power sockets, air-conditioning units and there is Starlink internet.
There is a main communal area where the meals are taken and you will be provided with 3 excellent meals every day cooked by the chef on site.
You can relax and and unwind in the lounge area with your fellow anglers at the end of a great days fishing too. It's a great spot to enjoy a drink and recount your latest fishing tales whilst soaking up the stunning views of the river.
